I never really officially met Shamika. Our boys played ball at the boys and girls club,so I have always known who she was. However, about 3 years ago I was formally introduced when she spoke to our Lowndes High girl's basketball team at half time in the locker room. Her passion for the game once again was evident and it was very contagious as we walked out of the locker room chanting Vikettes! Vikettes! She will be sorely missed.

Her team was undefeated and I'm thankful that she had a part in my granddaughter's basketball 🏀 career. All of those young girls loved her.
