Funeral service for Aaron Core, 83, of Valley, AL, will be at 12:00 noon (CST), Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, 11727 US Highway 280 East, Salem, AL, 36874 with interment in the Church Cemetery, Reverend Marshall Morgan, Sr., Pastor, Reverend Charles Kelley, Eulogist.
Mr. Core, who passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born February 26, 1942, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m. (CST). Family will be present from 4:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m. (CST).
Mr. Core will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: wife, Amanda Floyd Core of Valley, AL; four loving daughters, Dorothy Core of Colorado, Diane Core and Racheal Core Lott both of Opelika, AL and Chelsea Floyd of Valley, AL; three dedicated sons Elroy (Alesia) Core of Valley, AL, Herman (Kimberly) Core and David (Wilma) Core both of Auburn, AL; two step daughters, Lasheika (Clarence) Barnes of Valley, AL and Fredrika (Marcus) Bailey of Lanett, AL; one step-son, Twmaine (Brandi) Floyd of Montgomery, AL; twenty-seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ellis (Evella) Core of Cleveland, OH, Willie Ralph (Bobbie Jean) Core of Valley, AL, Johnny Lewis (Beverly Ann) Core of Salem, AL and Lee James (Wanda) Core of Columbus, GA; extended family, Emma Peterson, Lola Mae Core, Mae Lois Core, Doris (Bennie) Dowell, Willie Madden, Cleveland Madden, Steven Madden, Bryant (Racine) Madden, Claude Madden, Travis (Gretchen) Floyd, Randy Floyd, Patrick (Tammy) Floyd, Kevin Floyd, Sylvia (Willie) Callaway, Constance McBride and Daphne (Freddie) Allen; four very close friends, Larry Harper, Johnny Patterson, Andrew Butler and Eddie B. Summers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
