Funeral services for Alvin Thomas, 67, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Michael Burton will officiate.

Mr. Thomas, who passed Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Auburn Lake Nursing Home in Auburn, Alabama, was born April 28, 1956 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Family will be present from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Josephine Thomas; one daughter, Cherrell Thomas; former wife, Bonita Reed Thomas; one granddaughter, Ahria Ogbuehi; one sister, Arnessa Leverett; one brother, Ernest Lee Thomas, Jr.; one aunt, Jeanette Miles; three nephews, Michael Brandon Maddox, Ernest Lee Thomas III and Dr. Braxtin Thomas; loyal friend and former brother-in-law, Carnell Maddox; a host of other relatives and friends.
