Obituary For Annie Denise “Niecy” Jones
Funeral service for Annie Jones, 58, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024, God’s House of Prayer, 573 Harper Avenue, Auburn, AL, 36830 with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL, 36801, Bishop Frank McLeod will officiate.
Ms. Jones, who passed away, Monday, February 19, 2024 at Piedmont Healthcare in Columbus, Georgia was born March 27, 1965, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, February 23, 2024 from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
Ms. Jones will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her memory: loving and devoted husband, Carl Gary of Opelika, AL; two daughters, Shakita (Jennifer) Jones of Opelika, AL and Darnisha Goodwin (Adrian Davis) of Salem, AL; mother, Annie L. Foster of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Barbara Ashford, Sarah Jones both of Opelika, AL and Gwendolyn Anderson of Indianapolis, IN; four brothers, Robert Jones, Walter Dooley, Jeffery Jones (Charcola Sapp) all of Opelika, AL and David Lee (Rebecca) Jones of Phoenix, AZ; one aunt, Janice Dowdell of Opelika, AL; one uncle, Johnny Dowdell of Auburn, AL; bestie/sister/niece, Pamela Dorsey of Opelika, AL; devoted friend, Carla Gunn of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
