Obituary For Barbara Ann “Tootie” Turner Buckner

Funeral service for Barbara Buckner, 74, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Move of God Deliverance Tabernacle Church Cemetery, Highway 50, Camp Hill, AL, 36850, Pastor Willie Ford will officiate.

Ms. Buckner, who passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at St. Francis Emory Healthcare in Columbus, Georgia, was born May 14, 1950 in Muscogee County, Georgia.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 31, 2025 from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving daughter, Bridget Allen of Auburn, AL; her adored granddaughter, Brittany Allen of Auburn, AL; two great-grandchildren, Christian Bowen and Caleb Bowen both of Auburn, AL; four sisters, Ruby Bailey of Columbus, GA, Annie Turner of Opelika, AL, Willie Mae Kimbrough of Denver, CO and Henrietta Black of Opelika, AL; three brothers, Jerry (Pamela) Williams of Opelika, AL, Darrin (Ronnette) Turner of Aurora, CO and Canada “Tony” (Tina) Turner of McDonough, GA. Barbara was deeply loved by a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family, and dear friends, including Mildred Willis, Beulah Heard and the late Mary Owens to name a few. Among her many cherished relationships, she enjoyed the bond with her niece Aimee Foster. Barbara’s unwavering faith, love and generosity will be forever remembered by those who were blessed to know her.
