Obituary For Bertha Lee Ivey Bodie
Funeral service for Bertha Bodie, 91, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church, 2324 Double Hill Road, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Kenneth Coleman will officiate.
Mrs. Bodie, who passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born August 15, 1934, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m.
Mrs. Bodie will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Barbara Maduro of Long Island, NY, Jacqueline Cofield, Regina Ivey both of Opelika, AL and Roland Bodie of Raleigh, NC; a host of grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one brother, Johnny Ivey of Opelika, AL; one sister-in-law, Martha Ivey of New York, NY; special niece, Wanda Ivey of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
