Obituary For Betty Jean “Bet” Freeman
Funeral service for Betty Freeman, 58, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Creek Stand Freewill Non- Denominational Church, 672 Lee Road 40, Opelika, AL with interment in the Church Cemetery, Reverend Henry Ligon will officiate.
Ms. Freeman, who passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born November 2, 1966 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, January 10, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Ms. Freeman will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: two children, Breaunnia Dowdell and Markesia Love both of Opelika, AL; Markyelin Harris, whom she loved as a grandson; one brother, Johnny Frank Vinson of Phenix City, AL; four sisters, Gloria Freeman, Lillie Freeman, Mary Freeman and Belinda Freeman (Larry Mitchell) all of Opelika, AL; one uncle, James Lewis Freeman of Oak Ridge, TN; one aunt, Gracie Hunter of Crawford, AL; five nieces, Lakeisha Freeman, LaTasha (Anthony) Lockhart, LaTyra Freeman all of Opelika, AL, Brittney Childs of Phenix City, AL and Summer (Ryan) Henning of Atlanta, GA; three nephews, Dontavious Baker, Jonathan Baker both of Opelika, AL and Thajia Freeman of Milwaukee, WI; special friend, Andrea Stokes of Opelika, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
