Funeral service for Billy Jackson, 83, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL 36830, Reverend Tyrone Edwards will officiate.
Mr. Jackson, who passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Lafayette Nursing Home in Lafayette, AL, was born April 2, 1941, in Lee County, Alabama.
“Jack,” as he was affectionately known, enjoyed writing. He lived a full and productive life. He was the owner of Jackson TV Repair and worked diligently as a repairman. Billy was an avid Auburn football fan, “War Eagle”. He will always be remembered for his bright and beautiful smile. Before he departed this life, he once stated that, “God has been good to me.”
Public viewing will be Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Minister Elaine Jackson of Smiths Station, AL and Deacon Van (Mary Ann) Jackson of Valley, AL; two grandsons, Carlos Jackson of Columbus, GA and Tobias (Tawana) Farley of Phenix City, AL; five great-grandchildren, Madison Jackson, Carson Jackson both of Columbus, GA, Reagan Farley, Jaida Farley and Tobias Farley Jr. all of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Elder Bertha Askew of Auburn, AL; one twin brother, Pastor Benjamin (Diane) Jackson of New York; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
