Funeral service for Cassandra Smith, 62, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Elder Eddie Jackson will officiate.
Ms. Smith, who passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at her home in Opelika, AL, was born April 27, 1961 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required.)
She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Antavias Smith of Opelika, AL; four children that she raised as her own, Aja-Reji Wright, Ke’Yaffa Carter of Florida, J’Xarte Hill and Shanta (Cordell) Chambers both of Opelika, AL; mother, Johnnie Ingram of Opelika, AL; father, Leotis (Lela) Bridges of Opelika, AL; four brothers, Leotis Bridges, Jr., Tyrone (Alma) Ingram, Nathaniel Ingram and Roderick Bridges all of Opelika, AL; five sisters, Lori Ingram, Tiffany (Demetrus) Harrington both of Lafayette, AL, Sonja (Robert) Ingram, Trina Bridges, Susie Bridges all of Opelika, AL; a special aunt, Mattie Grady; a special niece, Nykeria Swint; a special nephew, Niko Grady; a devoted companion, Ozzie Gibson of Opelika, AL; friend as a sister, Wanda Webb of Opelika, AL; two devoted friends, Vanessa White and Terri Stinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
