Funeral service for Clara Floyd, 82, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 2457 County Road 28, Lafayette, AL 36862 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Terrence Holloway, Pastor, Reverend Thomas Brown, Eulogist.
Ms. Floyd, who passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama, was born March 24, 1943, in Chambers County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, March 6, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m.
Ms. Floyd will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Mary (Bertram) Hardnett of Hampton, VA, Adam (Tameka) Floyd and LaTonya Floyd (Rodney) Moore both of Auburn, AL; four grandchildren, Bertram OβBrian (Gabriella) Hardnett, Brandy Nicole Russell, Jada Floyd and Chad Moore; five great-grandchildren, Deion Russell, Briella Hardnett, Landon Hardnett, Lathan Hardnett and Noel Holloway; two sisters, Cora Welch and Maggie Story both of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
