Funeral service for Deacon Artie Grady, Jr., 77, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 1535 West Farmville Road, Auburn, AL, 36830 with interment in the Church Cemetery, Reverend V. Dion Gilbert will officiate.
Deacon Grady, who passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born September 4, 1946, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Monday, August 5, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Deacon Grady will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Ovalia Griffin Grady of Auburn, AL; seven children, Angela (Keith) Carr, Keith Smith, Andre Grady, Natashia (Lovell) Grimmett, Reggie Griffin all of Auburn, AL, Christopher (Keitha) Cobb of Columbus, GA, and Shawand (Tyrone) Thornton of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren as children, Jeremiah Scott, Shakeera Griffin, Ashton Hunter all of Auburn, AL, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Doreen Macon of Opelika, AL; best friend, Henry Adams of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
