Funeral service for Demetrice Johnson, 56, of Opelika, AL will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Ferguson Chapel C.M.E. Church, 310 South 4th Street, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Reverend Orlando Sims, Sr. will officiate.

Ms. Johnson, who passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama was born July, 4, 1966 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 27, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

Ms. Johnson will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Landis Johnson and Glenard Johnson both of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Sharon Taylor of Opelika, AL and Cazie (Willie) Todd, Jr. of Waldorf, MD; one brother, Wildon Jackson of Opelika, AL; three uncles, William (Jerlene) Cooper, Charles Bonner and Kenneth (Janifur) Stringer all of Opelika, AL; two aunts, Sherry (Cilvester) Jiles of Opelika, AL and Sylvia (Bernard) Brewer of Atlanta, GA; devoted friend, Timothy Chambers of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
