Eddie Claude Bryant: Funeral service for Claude Bryant, 72, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Bishop Kenneth Carter will officiate.
Mr. Bryant, who passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Arbor Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center, was born December 13, 1953, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Jacqueline Bryant of Opelika, AL; three children, Corey Bryant of Opelika, AL, Tia DeNeal of Lagrange, GA and Tivoni Bryant of Opelika, AL; six grandchildren, Jasmine Taylor, JaQuinn Jackson, JaKanni Jackson, A’Nyiah Hughley all of Opelika, AL, Jazmine (Austin) Fonsica of Fort Wayne, IN and JaCorius (Jakyra) Bryant of Beulah, AL; one sister, Earnestine (Sylvester) Brooks of Opelika, AL; cousin as a sister, Brenda Covington of Opelika, AL; one uncle, Reverend Leonard (Mary) Bryant of Opelika, AL; two aunts, Essie Bryant of Gary, IN and Lennie B. Jordan of Opelika, AL; two sisters-in-law, Fannie Bryant and Dany (Daryl) Scott both of Opelika, AL; one brother-in-law, Dennis Thomas of Opelika, AL; a devoted friend, Charlie Wilson of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
