A private graveside service for Eddie Gilmore, 54, of Phenix City, Alabama, formerly Smiths Station, Alabama, will be at 11:00 a.m. (CST)/12:00 noon (EST), February 26, 2022, at Motts Church of Christ Cemetery, 1326 Lee Road 249, Smiths Station, AL 36877, Brother McArthur Cooper will officiate.
Mr. Gilmore, who passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at Piedmont Media Center in Columbus, GA, was born March 3, 1967 in Macon County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, February 25, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required)
He leaves to cherish his memory: four children, Eddie Gene Gilmore III (Cyane), Jahkirah Gilmore, Janasia Miles Gilmore and Marstina Douse all of Phenix City, AL; three sisters, Anita (Kenneth) Humphrey of Smiths Station, AL, Sandra (Dennis) Canada of Grapevine, TX and Shanee (Byron) Henderson of Covington, GA; two brothers, Jerome (Tammy) Gilmore of Smiths Station, AL and Jerry Gilmore of Auburn, AL; four aunts, Elaine Lynch of Phenix City, AL, Frances Grant, Mary Jean Gilmore of Orlando, FL, Minnie Lou Stephens of Smiths Station, AL and Annie Whatley of Opelika, AL; one uncle, Willie Fred Gilmore of Tuskegee, AL; devoted friends, Paul Dumas, Tony Dumas, Milton Whatley and Jackie Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
It is so hard to believe that he is gone. Me and Eddie would go back and forth about Alabama and Georgia. We would take the whole family swimming. Eddie Jr. Keep your head up, God goats your back. Love you Within!
