Obituary For Eddie James “Boot” Black
Funeral service for Eddie Black, 71, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Reverend Roger Jones will officiate.
Mr. Black, who passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born May 13, 1952, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two sisters, Jerlene (William) Cooper and Emma Love both of Opelika, AL; one brother, Tarzen (Christine) Black of Auburn, AL; two nieces, Mary Helen Black of Charleston, SC and Helena Frye of Opelika, AL; one nephew, Cranston Black of Auburn, AL; two great-nephews, Fallon Frye and Kordell Kornickey; two great-nieces, Olyvia Black and Camillia Tapley; one great-great-nephew, Carson Black; a host of other relatives and friends.
