Obituary For Evora "Rut" Jackson
Funeral service for Evora Jackson, 66, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2022, at True Deliverance Holiness Church, 936 North Donahue Drive, Auburn, AL with interment in Pine Level Cemetery, Bishop Nolan T. Torbert will officiate. (Facial covering is required)
Ms. Jackson, who passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at St. Vincent East Hospital in Trussville, AL, was born September 18, 1955 in Lee County, Alabama.
There will be no public viewing.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Codell (Denise) Jackson of Atlanta, GA and Shanta Torbert of Birmingham, AL; eight grandchildren; two bonus children, Wendy (Reginald) Taylor of McDonough, GA and Whitney Torbert of Auburn, AL; five sisters, Mary Lois Cochran of Birmingham, AL, Edna Ann Jackson of Syracuse, NY, Arnethia (Alonzo) Walker of Auburn, AL, Charlene Straughter of Detroit, MI and Barabara Coleman of Florida; two brothers, Hubert (Geraldine) Taylor of Washington and Ira James (Calmor) Jackson of Lafayette, AL; godson, Travis Jackson of Syracuse, NY; a devoted friend, Louis Jones of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
