Funeral service for George Walton, 74, of Auburn, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, July 31, 2025, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 713 Powledge Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Willie J. Lyles will officiate.
Mr. Walton, who passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at his home in Auburn, Alabama, was born June 20, 1951, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Walton will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Han Pham Ngoc Walton of Auburn, AL; step-son, Minh Hoang of Auburn, AL; three brothers, Harold Walton, Melvin (Vickey) Walton and Phillip (Antionette) Reese all of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Anita (McCurtis) Harvey of Birmingham, AL, Violet Morgan of Dothan, AL and Bernice Blue of Birmingham, AL; one sister-in-law, Denise Reese of Opelika, AL; best friend, Jimmy Dowdell of Reno, NV; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

He always represented his Dad, Willie George, my mother's brother. He will be missed by all the relatives. The Lord will walk with his wife and family during these difficult days.
