Funeral service for Geraldine Penny, 78, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL, 36832, Pastor Benjamin C. Datiri will officiate.
Mrs. Penny, who passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia, was born November 24, 1947, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, February 27, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Tammie Terrell (Bruce) Rubin, Bobby (Latoya) Penny both of Virginia Beach, VA and Rolahac (Alberta) Phillips, Sr. of Notasulga, AL; thirteen grandchildren, Ryanne Rubin of Saint Petersburg, VA, Selwyn (Kayla) Spratling, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Joshua Perkins of Frisco, TX, Takenya (Michael) Penny of Virgina Beach, VA, Alyssa India Rubin, Micah Penny both of Virginia Beach, VA, Shalavee Smith, Rolahac Phillips. Jr., Malcom Phillips, Quintevis Phillips, Jamar Smith, Kimly Smith and Rolasha Phillips all of Auburn, AL; three great-grandchildren, Symora Spratling, Kaylan Spratling and Michal Penny all of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Patsy Spinks Houston of Opelika, AL; one special cousin, Hattie Turk of Auburn, AL; one sister-in-law, Doris Spinks of Auburn, AL; one brother-in-law, Eddie (Vera) Penny of Fairfield, AL; two special friends, Mary Madden of Opelika, AL and Linda Day Saxton of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs Penny was a great friend of mine, along with her son Chris, and to all that knew her, I send my deepest condolences.
