Funeral service for Gre’Darius Brooks, 31, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2023, at The City Church, 2900 Waverly Parkway, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Bishop A.L. Dowdell will officiate.
Mr. Brooks, who passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, was born January 16, 1992 in Warren, Ohio. Public viewing will be Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).
Mr. Brooks will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: mother, Lititia Brooks of Phenix City, AL, father, Eric Kellum of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Tanzania Jiles and Akiya Taylor both of Opelika, AL; eight brothers, Ryan Smith, Ian Smith, Kendall Smith, Jaleel Brooks, Lazaris Kellum, Khalif Kellum, Tyquavious Mitchell and Kani Kellum all of Opelika, AL; maternal grandmother, Louise Brooks of Opelika, AL; maternal grandfather, Charles (Corlis) Colquitt, Sr. of Opelika, AL; paternal grandfather, James Kellum of Opelika, AL; five aunts, Michelle Colquitt, Stephanie Allen both of Opelika, AL, Carolyn Allen of Atlanta, GA, Stephanie Kellum of Phenix City, AL and Cynthia Wright of Jonesboro, GA; eight uncles, Charles (Cindy) Colquitt, Jr., of Birmingham, AL, Braymond Brooks, Jr., of Auburn, AL, Mechelle Allen of Hawaii, Brett Barrow, Ladarrell Thomas, Terez (Charkethia) Thomas, Roderick Kellum and Brycen Brooks all of Opelika, AL; two special cousins, Tarez and Iikeem; a host of great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
