Graveside service for Ida Truitt, 70, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Elder James Q. Smith will officiate.

Ms. Truitt, who passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at her home in Opelika, AL, was born March 30, 1952 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

She leaves to cherish her memory: devoted companion of many years, Danny Holloway of Opelika, AL; two sons, Timothy (LaShanda) Truitt and Cedrick (Lori) Truitt both of Opelika, AL; eleven grandchildren, Timothy Thomas, Sharnice Truitt, Tasha Truitt, Jalicia Tolefree, Jessica Tolefree, Z'aquan Tolefree, Cordera Frazier, Trimeka Ingram, Tynesia Armstrong, Treketta Armstrong, Kebreauna Riley; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Willie J. Ross of Opelika, AL; five caring nieces, Tracy (Joe) Dunn, Mary (Ronnie) Hall of Opelika, AL, Nicole Ross of Killeen, TX, Cynthia Callaway and Diane (Michael) Harris both of Andalusia, AL; six caring nephews, Curtis (Meka) Ross, Charlie Boyd, Jr. of Andalusia, AL, Willie Ross, Robert Ross, Kevin Ross and Alfred Boyd all of Opelika, AL; a devoted friend, Annie Fields of Opelika, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
