Funeral service for James Davis, 69, of Tuskegee, AL, formerly Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church, 2324 Double Hill Road, Opelika, AL, 36804, with interment in the church cemetery, Pastor Sharrod Coleman will officiate.

Mr. Davis, who passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his home in Tuskegee, Alabama, was born December 26, 1956, in Lee County, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Jammie (Gwendolyn) Davis of Smiths Station, AL, Jeremy Davis of Opelika, AL and Jamal Davis of Opelika, AL; step-daughter, Avril Malinda Faye Moore (Darrell) Manuel of Banks, AL; five granddaughters, Paris Davis, London Davis both Union Springs, AL, Jameriah Davis, Ahaiya Johnson both Opelika, AL and Georgia Davis of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Mary Helen (Walter) Hughley of Opelika, AL, Doris Jean (Joe) Hughley and Carolyn Diane Davis; four brothers, Charlie (Beatrice) Davis, Larry (Gloria) Davis, Eddie Davis and Willie Davis all of Opelika, AL; one brother-in-law, Jesse Ross of Opelika, AL; special cousin, Charles Gibson of Austin, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
