James Edward Tartt, 67, of Opelika, AL, son of the late Mr. Thomas Calvin Tartt, Sr. and Mrs. Ernestine Taylor Tartt, was born February 13, 1953 in Canebrake, West Virginia.
James was a machine operator in the textile industry. He was a loving father, brother and friend.
Mr. Tartt, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Dadeville Health Care Center in Dadeville, AL.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Natasha Williams of Rockhill, SC, James Bernard Williams and Derick Williams both of Seneca, SC; five step-children, Sandra Foster, Patricia Kindred both of Columbus, GA, Nancy Foster of Opelika, AL, Shaleek Mack and Tyree Williams both of Seneca, SC; two brothers, Raymond Tartt of Auburn, AL and Nathaniel (Ronnie Marie) Tartt of Bluefield, WV; two aunts, Linda (Jose’) Correa of Auburn, AL and Doris (Daniel) Jarvis of St. Albans, NY; one sister-in-law, Mae Tartt of Jamaica, NY; a devoted niece, Tamika Tart of Concord, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
