Funeral service for Jeanette Welch, 87, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church, 1785 Lee Road 29, Opelika, AL, 36804 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Michael Heard, Pastor and Officiating, Bishop Nolan T. Torbert, Eulogist.
Mrs. Welch, who passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, was born June 12, 1938, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, November 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mrs. Welch will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: two daughters, Dorothy Welch of Cleveland, OH and Geneva Welch of Opelika, AL; nine grandchildren, Shaquita Bussey of Phenix City, AL, Germese Welch, Rodericka Welch both of Beauregard, AL, Precious Dowdell of Montgomery, AL, Lover (Jamel) Griffin, Keshon Welch both of Opelika, AL, James Mitchell of Auburn, AL, James Welch of Cleveland, OH and Limyracle Welch of Woodbridge, VA; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Linda Welch of Salem, AL and Janice Welch of Auburn, AL; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Welch of Orlando, FL, Janie Welch of Gary, IN and Cassie Singleton of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
