Funeral service for Jecorey Purifoy, 33, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m. (CST), Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Believers Church International, 508 South 6th Street, Lanett, Alabama 36863, Bishop Carterris Tucker will officiate.

Mr. Purifoy, who passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery, AL, was born December 23, 1991 in Escambia County, FL.

Public viewing will be Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (CST)

Mr. Purifoy will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Peaches Wagner of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Shenikia Purifoy of Auburn, AL, Nicole Walker and Ja’Cynthia Spann both of Greenville, AL; five brothers, Jamarcus Purifoy of Atlanta, GA, Brian Walker, Kareem Hall, Tarrance and Dinarves Smith all of Greenville, AL; grandmother, Bernice Elms of Opelika, AL; special uncle, Lorenza Adams of Athens, GA; devoted cousin, Dayshia Wilson of Birmingham, AL; three nieces, Cadence, Natalia, and Moriah; one nephew, Mason; god-sister, Shakia Brantley of Luverne, AL; god-daughter, Mya Roundtree of Columbus, GA; childhood best friend, D’Marquez Hall of Luverne, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
