Obituary For Jeniece Ogletree Brantley
Funeral service for Jeniece Brantley, 66, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Ft. Mitchell, AL 36875, Reverend Michael Burton will officiate.
Mrs. Brantley, who passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born July 27, 1960, in Columbus, Georgia.
Public viewing will be Monday, August 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Family hour will be from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Marcus (Katilya) Ware, Roderick Ware both of Opelika, AL, Marques Brantley (Tee), Channel Brantley of Tucson Arizona, and Mandel Brantley; nineteen grandchildren, Roderick Ware Jr., Jamie Ware, Rashad Ware, Ronnie Ware II, Kinzley Farrow, Omari Cooper, Makenna Ware, Cherish Wallace, Caleb Harris of Opelika, AL, Christopher J. Williams of Cartersville, GA; one sister, Thomasine Thomas of Columbus, GA; one brother, Cal (Nicole) Thomas of Phenix City, AL; one sister-in-law, Bridget Swannigan; two brothers-in-law, Bruce Brantley and Blair Brantley both of Columbus, GA; two godsons, Christopher Nelms of Tuscaloosa, AL and Kyle Cooper of Auburn, AL; three special friends, Laura Cooper, Elizabeth Tuck, and Lorea Wilborn; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family of the late Mrs. Jeniece Ogletree Brantley acknowledges with grateful appreciation all acts of kindness, prayers, cards, telephone calls, flowers, and words of comfort extended to us during our time of bereavement. May God bless each of you.
