Mr. Jerome Beaty, son of the late Mr. Walter and Mrs. Catherine Thomas Beaty, Sr., was born May 22, 1957 in Chambers County, Alabama.

He enjoyed working and helping other people. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend.

Mr. Beaty departed this life on Friday, February 26, 2021, in Opelika, Alabama. He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Beverly Thomas of Lafayette, AL, Edward Patten of Valley, AL and Angelina Jones; five grandchildren, Raphasha Presley (Jamal Sims), DeQuan Thomas, Quintavis Levert, Malik McCoy, Braxton Patten; five sisters, Hurley (John) Ray, Barbara Brooks, Ocie Mae Turner of Lafayette, AL, Geraldine (Mose) Todd and Cathy Houston of Opelika, AL; three brothers, Walter (Barbara) Beaty of Valley, AL, Tommy Beaty and Jerome (Jenetta) Giddens of Valley, AL; one aunt, Carrie Sue Henderson of Lafayette, AL; a devoted friend, Annie Jean Stringer of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sending condolences to the families, sorry for the loss of Scrap.He was a dear friend of mine, matter of fact, I had been looking for him to work on my vehicle, before this devastating tragedy happened, but I couldn't find him. RIP Scrap, I'm going to miss you dearly.
