Memorial service for Jessie Bell, 82, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2026, at True Deliverance Holiness Church, 936 N Donahue Drive, Auburn, Alabama, 36832, Bishop Nolan Torbert, Officiating, Dr. Frankie Bell, Eulogist.

Mr. Bell, who passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026 at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born February 8, 1944, in Lee County, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his memory: four children, Annette Thomas-Daley of Decatur, GA, Terry Lee (Melissa) Bell, Cassandra (Quinton) Bell-Roberts both of Opelika, AL and Felix O’Neal (Dr. Frankie) Bell of Newnan, GA; twelve grandchildren, Lamarcus Askew, Jessica (Corey) North, Joshia Bell, Ladairs Bell, Kearkius Bell, Jacquavius Thomas, Skyler Watts, Devin Bell, Audrieanna Bell, Veronica Daley, De’Onte Andrews and Junior Kevin Fitch; eight great-grandchildren; special nephew, Andrew Bell of Opelika, AL; special cousin, Danny Barrow of Opelika, AL; mother of his children, Lillie Bell of Opelika, AL; daughter-in-law, Janice Thomas of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of the late Mr. Jessie James Bell acknowledges with grateful appreciation all acts of kindness, prayers, cards, telephone calls, flowers, and words of comfort extended to us during our time of bereavement. May God bless each of you.
