Obituary For Joanne "Ms. Jo" Tolbert
Graveside service for Joanne Tolbert, 79, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Cluster Baptist Church Cemetery, County Road 53, Notasulga, AL, 36866, Reverend Rickey Tolliver will officiate.
Ms. Tolbert, who passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the Arbor Springs Health and Rehab Center in Auburn, Alabama, was born February 21, 1946, in Macon County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, August 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Rayfus Tolbert (Sabrena) of Loachapoka, AL and Gloria Tolbert (Melvin) of Auburn, AL; three grandchildren, Rayfus Lockhart of Opelika, AL, Jamiah Tolbert of Auburn, AL and DeShawn Turner of Cleveland, OH; five great-grandchildren, Reign Lockhart, Bryson Lockhart, MaKinleigh Lockhart, Jayceon Spinks and Dakota Tell; bonus daughters, Shannon Lockhart of Opelika, AL; devoted nieces, Mary Ann Tolbert, Jasmine Walker, Jarquetta Hill and Roenia Janigan; devoted nephews, Antonio Tolbert and Anthony Elfago Pressley; special friends, Betty Townsend, Marcella Stewart, LaShonda Scott and Oliver Edwards; a host of cousins, church family and many friends.
