“Granddaddy Hart” as he was affectionately called by the neighboring children, relished in being the community grandfather, crafted the look with his signature overalls, suspenders and hat. As a child, you knew that you were a part of his family when he branded you with an unforgettable nickname. An avid outdoors man, Henry loved working his yard, harvesting his gardens, planting flowers, fishing and erecting various buildings and structures on his property. He was known for his creativity and ability to make something out of nothing and could repair anything. His talents stretched beyond Camp Hill when he was contracted to travel to Opelika to reconstruct the entry stairs for daughter, Nellie and on to Oklahoma City, OK to build a patio area for his daughter, Sandra. Henry enjoyed a game of dominoes and he prided himself in creating an outdoor gaming area for his family and friends to enjoy. He was definitely ahead of his time with the man cave that he built on his side yard!
