One great man, one great person, John Lockhart embodied his entire life. I first got to meet & know John & his really fine family spring 1993, when I coached his son, Jaytavious, in youth baseball (9-10) here in Auburn.
This was the start of a true friendship with John, Sheree, Jay, & the Lockhart Family that I cherish to this day...and, with his recent passing, now even more so.
It is with a heavy heart that I will share my most sincere, "Goodbye!" to this fine man, all the while knowing that he is indeed a Man of God, in every way imaginable.
Thank you, John, for always being willing to meet & talk with me...about anything. You made me & everyone who has been blessed to know you a better person...indeed, you left this world in a much better place just by you being you.
May you RIP, Dear Friend. Steve Cosgrove Auburn, AL
