Graveside service for John Morgan, 85, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL 36804, Reverend George C. McCulloh will officiate.
Mr. Morgan, who passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born August 15, 1936, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing for Mr. Morgan will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (facial covering is required)
He leaves to cherish his memory: seven children, Michael Maddox of Montgomery, AL, Bonita Johnson, Cathy Harris both of Opelika, AL, Jacqueline Morgan of Miami, FL, Barbara Morgan of Columbus, GA, Regina Morgan of Atlanta, GA, and Towanda Neal of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren, Darius, JaQuita, Courtney, Corey, Donovan, Camille, Maya, Jozlynn, and Ginasia; six great grandchildren, Kenedi, Gavin, Zavien, Zarria, Zakyaa, and Lauren; one brother-in-law, Judge Maddox of Opelika, AL; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Hegler of Atlanta, GA and Shevey Morgan of Salem, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
