RIP
"I feel extremely fortunate to have grown up in an era, and in a community, where many active, intelligent, God-fearing 'businessmen of color' were visible.
Mr. John Zellars was one of those men.
His integrity, character, kindness and quiet strength were evident to all who were blessed by his presence.
I am grateful to have had him in my life as an encourager, a mentor, and a friend. May the Peace of God forever dwell in the hearts of his family and friends."

Whitlow was a friendly man who always greeted me with a smile and a hug. I was soooo impressed with the way he cared for his grandchildren - he'd have the two little ones strapped in their carseats as he visited his customers. It was so enriching to see the devotion he showed in caring for those babies. Rest My Friend YOU'VE EARNED IT!
An amazingly wonderful Man was Mr. Zellars. May God comfort all that mourn in his transition.
Condolences to the Zellars family our Prayers are with you in time's of bereavement. Larry & Mattie Black
RIP Mr. Zellars.
Kenneth, Reggie and Sherry Keith.
I first met John Zellars in the early 1990s when his daughter, Quia and my children were a part of 21st Century Youth Leadership Movement together, and later Emberly and Jae. I later became a part of the Macon County chapter of Alabama New South Coalition, and John was a very active member of the Lee County chapter. Needless to say John and I were friends for almost 4 decades. He was a an amazing human being, committed to making a positive difference in his world. His legacy will live on. I offer my deepest condolences to his family, and I pray that precious memories will comfort you.
With love, Norma Jackson
