Graveside service for Johnny Welch, Jr., 73, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL, 36832, Reverend Desmond Scaife will officiate.
Mr. Welch, who passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Dadeville HealthCare Center was born June 25, 1952, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, July 25, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Sabrina (Demory) James of Auburn, AL and Erica (Terrence) Hunter of Cairo, GA; three grandchildren, Jasmine Hardnett (Devon Mackey) of Opelika, AL, Chasity Hunter and Terrence Hunter, Jr. both of Cairo, GA; three great grandchildren, Kennedi Horton, Kye Mackey and Calli Mackey all of Opelika, AL; four sisters, Betty (Lee) Saxton, Susie (David) Holmes, Sarah Young all of Opelika, AL and Alice (Joe) Fields of Prattville, AL; two brothers, Frank Welch of Auburn, AL and Eddie Welch of Jackson, MS; former wife, Rosie Welch of Auburn, AL; three sisters-in-law, Catherine Terrell of Loachapoka, AL, Eva Hardnett and Dorothy Hardnett both of Auburn, AL; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Parker and Lorenzo Hardnett both of Auburn, AL; two caregivers, Laveeda Cooper and Edmond Cooper both of Montgomery, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
