Visitation for Johnny Reese, 65, of Auburn, Alabama, will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Harris Funeral Home.
Mr. Reese, the son of the late Mr. Mitchell C. Reese and Mrs. Rose Gunn Reese Winston, was born April 4, 1955 in Macon County, Alabama.
At an early age, he confessed Christ and united with Hickory Grove A.M.E. Zion Church in Tuskegee, Alabama. “Rickey” as he affectionately known, graduated from Benjamin Russell High School and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years. He was an outdoor man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. On Friday, January 8, 2021, he departed this life at Lake Martin Community Hospital in Dadeville, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Gladys Reese of Auburn, AL; three children, Clinton (Arnesa) Grady of Opelika, AL, Maria Reese (Consrico “Ken”) Holmes of Montgomery, AL and Tina Reese of Opelika, AL; six grandchildren, Clay Bandy, Chase Maddox, Shundre Scott, Malik Scott, MaKenzie Holmes and MaKayla Holmes; a host other family and friends
