Forever will be in my heart... What fond memories, from sleep overs, church functions, sacred sharing with tears and laughter only to name a few. Shayla what beautiful light you were with us. I have memories and reflections to hold closelyin those moments of disbelief. To her life partner, The Lawson's and extended family, may you find moments to Be on your new journey of grief. May God Give continued strength to fill the earthly shoes of Shayla in raising her beautiful children. - Katrina, Jacksonville Fl
Juddie was an amazing person and heaven genuinely gained an angel. I met her through work and she was the most welcoming and loving woman I've ever known. She loved the people around her and she was always the light to everyone's day. I am so lucky to have known her.
Juddie and I use to work together and she was so loving and caring. She made sure I was on top of things in school and her babies are so sweet and respectful. Will keep her family in my prayers

I met Juddie and her sister Julie in 1999 while attending Mandarin High School. When we met we instantly became friends and remained in touched years following graduating. We were inseparable and had the best times in the MHS Marching Band as Colorguard members. We shared so many fun and happy memories together. I'll never forget Juddie's funny sayings and the sisterly bickering between the twins. I deeply mourn the lost of my dear friend and her family remains in my thoughts. I will never forget you, Juddie. I know you're happily reunited with Papa Ross and Momma Juddie. To her sister, Julie, I send you my love and hugs from Florida. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need anything for yourself, nieces or nephew. I'm here always. Love you all.
Dear Family, my heart breaks for you for the loss of Shayla. Her family was our across the street neighbors in Jacksonville, FL. What an amazing family!! Shayla and Nicolle baby sat for us some and were always so sweet and caring. I remember Shayla having a sweet spirit about here even as a teenager. I could tell she would be a great mother one day. May the Lord bring comfort to you all in your time of mourning. We don't understand all these things but it is comforting to know our faith confirms You will see Shayla again and she has been reunited with her parents in heaven. Sending love! My name is Julie Nichole Lawson Smith and I'm Shayla's twin sisters. One of my greatest memories will be being in the campus newspaper with Shayla when we were at Alabama State University. We were apart of nine sets of twins that were on campus, they took our picture. We were all told that was the most sets of twins they had ever had on campus in school history . Shayla and we're so proud, we often talked about going to the annual twin convention that they hold in the United States. She will always be my sunshine in the midst of the storm. Love you forever -my Shay
