Funeral service for Lamar Marbury, 62, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. (CST), Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Ft. Mitchell, AL, 36856, Reverend Steven Faulk will officiate.
Mr. Marbury, who passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, was born March 21, 1962, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, December 20, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: four children, Lacresha Walker of Auburn, AL, Lakenna (Demarus) Vickerstaff of Phenix City, AL, Lamar Marbury III of Auburn, AL and Terrance Marbury of Opelika, AL; mother, Ira Hill of Columbus, GA; four grandchildren, Amiracle Walker, Heaven Walker both of Opelika, AL, Ayden Vickerstaff and Aria Vickerstaff both of Phenix City, AL; one great granddaughter, AyβLah Evans of Opelika, AL; four sisters, Pamela Jackson of Opelika, AL, Samantha (Trey) Tripp of Mobile, AL, LaTasha Hill of Columbus, GA, Tonia Marbury of Clarksville, TN; three brothers, Michael (Tonya) Heard of Opelika, AL Payton βDeAndreβ Marbury of Atlanta, GA and Courtney Marbury of Auburn, AL; one uncle, Charles (Joann) Marbury of Opelika, AL; three aunts, Annie Richardson of Cleveland, OH, Ocie Hand of Auburn, AL and Mary Jones of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
