Obituary For Lee Garrick Johnson, Sr.

Public viewing for Mr. Lee Garrick Johnson, Sr. will be Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Johnson, son of the late Mr. Willie Lee Thomas and Mrs. Willie Bell Cooper Johnson, was born May 16, 1978, in Lee County, Alabama.

He confessed Christ and united with The Word Church in West Point, Georgia.

Lee enjoyed watching sports, especially football, and was an avid Alabama fan, “Roll Tide”. He also enjoyed going to the gun range and spending time with his family and friends. Above all, his greatest joy was his children whom he loved dearly.

On Friday, August 28, 2026, he departed this life in Opelika, Alabama. He was preceded in death by: one sister, Charity Cooper; stepfather, Charles Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Karleigh Johnson, Lee Johnson, Jr. both of Tuskegee, AL and Kinsley Davidson of West Point, GA; two sisters, Sue (Larry) Thomas and Leli Thomas both of Salem, AL; two brothers, Gregory Thomas of Salem, AL and Clem Johnson of Opelika, AL; two aunts, Mary Nell Kindred of Opelika, AL and Virginia (Jerry) Carr of Salem, AL; a devoted friend, Tywana Davidson of Opelika, AL; three best friends, Luke Hughley, Lagarian Watson and Keisha Callaway; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of the late Mr. Lee Garrick Johnson, Sr. acknowledges with grateful appreciation all acts of kindness, prayers, cards, telephone calls, flowers, and words of comfort extended to us during our time of bereavement. May God bless each of you.
