Funeral service for Leola Ashmore, 66, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Roger Jones will officiate.

Mrs. Ashmore, who passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born April 8, 1958, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Monday, January 20, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: husband, James Ashmore of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Hattie (Benjamin) Reese and Addie Trimble both of Opelika, AL; brother, Jesus Caldron of Opelika, AL; father-in-law, Durr Ashmore of Auburn, AL; three sisters-in-law, Sharon Edwards of Opelika, AL, Annie Ashmore and Tammy Doolittle both of Auburn, AL; one brother-in-law, Dr. Winford Ashmore of Opelika, AL; devoted nieces, Angel (Maurice) Tucker, Valeria (Alvin) Morgan, Justina (Willie) Benford all of Opelika, AL and Dejanae Swanson of Birmingham, AL; five devoted nephews, Anthony Gardner, Ramone “Fat Man” Gardner, Roydale (Deborah) Core, Russell Stewart and Wesley Johnson all of Opelika, AL; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
