Graveside service for Lester Dawson, 85, of Cusseta, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m. (CST), Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Bethel No.1 Missionary Baptist Old Church Cemetery, Highway 29, Opelika, AL 36801, Bishop Nolan T. Torbert will officiate.
Mr. Dawson, who passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, GA, was born November 19, 1935 in Georgia.
Public viewing for Mr. Dawson will be Monday, April 12, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (CST)
His memories will forever be cherished by: his loving wife of 40 years, Georgia Dawson of Cusseta, AL; three sons, Larry (Kitzi) Dawson Opelika, AL, Christopher (Kimberly) Dawson and Lester (Traci) Dawson both of Cleveland, OH; two daughters, Linda (Kent ) Dowell of Opelika, AL and Julia Ruiz of Riverdale, GA; daughter-in-law; Annette Dawson of Opelika, AL; five sisters, Polly Bennett of Valdosta, GA, Elizabeth Baker of Orange New Jersey, Eugenia (Walter) McCain of Anniston, AL, Linda Fuller of Cusseta, AL and Doris Cloud of Opelika, AL; three brothers, Grayland Fuller, Lindsey Fuller both of Opelika, AL and Jimmy (Glenn) Fuller of California; three sisters-in-law, Odell Fuller, Annel Bush of Cleveland, OH and Elizabeth Thomas of Dawson, GA; three brothers-in-law, Joel Bush, Andrew Bush both of Cleveland, OH and Jimmy (Delores) Bush of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Tiffany Taylor, Kenyetta (Nick) Calloway, Ken (Jalisa) Dowell, Anthues (Chaka) Dawson, Cetrice Dawson, Jonathan McCray, James Ruiz, Destini Dickson, Lance Dawson, Robert Dawson, Jr.,Kiyisha Reid, Keyondra Reid, Benjamin Reid, Kamisha Abner and Marsena Knox; a devoted friend, Willie Baker; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
