Obituary For Lester Tyrone "John T." Griffin

Graveside service for Lester Griffin, 72, of Opelika, AL, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Pine Level Cemetery, 4650 Arrow Head Road, Loachapoka, AL 36865, Terri Brinson Gwynn will officiate.

Mr. Griffin, who passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born April 27, 1949, in Macon County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, September 3, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required)

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Terri Gwynn (Lee) Brinson of Geneva, NY, Lesley Griffin Salmon of Hartford, CT and Lester Griffin, Jr. of Geneva, NY; three sisters, Vera Mae Ward, Mary Louise (Charlie) Williams and Regina Ashcraft all of Rochester, NY; five brothers, Joseph (Clemmie) Griffin of Goodwater, AL, James (Judy) Griffin of Geneva, NY, Douglas Griffin, Charles (Judy) Griffin both of Opelika, AL and Lewis Griffin of Rochester, NY; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two aunts, Athera Freeman of Tuskegee, AL and Betty (Bobby) Hart of Geneva, NY; one uncle, Earnest (Consuela) Parker of Geneva, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
