Funeral service for Lola Core, 88, of Lanett, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m. (EST), Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, 11727 US Hwy 280, Salem AL, 36874 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Marshall Morgan, Pastor and Eulogist, Minister Marquez Core, Officiating.

Mrs. Core, who passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, was born December 31, 1936, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, October 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (EST)

Mrs. Core will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

Her legacy of cherished memories will be carried on by: her devoted children, James (Dorothy) Core, Jr. of Valley, AL, Dominick (Cassandra) Core of Beulah, AL, Gloria Core of Columbus GA, Valerie (David) Swint of Lafayette, AL, Shawanda Gail Core of Lanett AL, Lasharra (Johnny) Trammel of Huguley AL and Sandra (Pastor Delvin) Thompson of Columbus GA; twenty-eight grandchildren; god-grandson, Antwon Towels of Lanett, AL; fifty-five great-grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; five brothers, Claude Madden, Jr. of Valley AL, Willie M. Madden of Opelika AL, Steven (Mary Ann) Madden and Cleveland Madden both of Cusseta AL; three sisters, Mae Loise Core of Valley AL, Doris (Bennie) Dowdell and Mary Emma Peterson both of Opelika, AL; one sister-in-law, Racine Madden of Pontiac, MI; four brothers-in-law, Ellis (Evella) Core of Cleveland, OH, Willie Ralph (Bobbie Jean) Core of Valley, AL, Lee James (Wanda) Core of Columbus GA and Johnny Lewis (Beverly) Core of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
