Funeral service for Lovell Grimmett, 74, of Auburn, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 1535 West Farmville Road, Auburn, AL, 36830, Reverend Dion Gilbert will officiate.
Mr. Grimmett, who passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, was born August 25, 1950 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, January 17, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: wife, Natashia Griffin of Auburn, AL; six children, Contrey Grimmett of Houston, TX, Rodney Bufford, Treddis Ellis, Nekeith Grimmett all of Atlanta, GA, Nicko Grimmett of Auburn, AL and Ashford “Pete Man” Patrick of Opelika, AL; two step-children, Isaiah Griffin of Opelika, AL and Ambriah Hunter of Auburn, AL; eighteen grandchildren; two sisters, Mary “Nadine” Jackson of Auburn, AL and Patricia (William) Weston of Atlanta, GA; twin brother, Ovell (Belinda) Grimmett of Auburn, AL; one aunt, Ruby (Joe) DeVance of Austell, GA; mother-in-law, Ovalia Grady of Auburn, AL; brother-in-law, Reginal Griffin of Auburn, AL; sister-in-law, Shawand (Tyrone) Thornton of Orlando, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
