Funeral service for Lucille McCants, 82, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 1535 West Farmville Road, Auburn, AL. 36830, Pastor Isom Day, Officiating, Pastor Patrick Gamble, Eulogist.
Mrs. McCants, who passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born July 12, 1943, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, January 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Gregory Grady of Opelika, AL and Terronald McCants (Lindsey) Frazier of Beulah, AL; four grandchildren, Kearston McCants, Christopher McCants, Rantae Menifield all of Opelika, AL and Pierre (Lakitra) Hargrove of Birmingham, AL; five great-grandchildren, ArQuavious “A.J.” McCants, QuinTavis Edwards, Jr., Kymani McCants, KyMari McCants all of Opelika, AL and Christopher “Cam” McCants of Lafayette, AL; brother-in-law, Lee J. Robinson of Beulah, AL; six special friends; Rosie "Ray” Hunter, Levi Dowdell, Lorenzo Reese, Cynthia Moore, James Spivey and Jack Montgomery; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
