Funeral service for Lurletha Ward, 89, of Decatur, GA, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Ester A.M.E. Zion Church, 1277 US Highway 29 North, Auburn, AL, 36830, Reverend Otis Tyner will officiate.

Mrs. Ward, who passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026 at her home in Decatur, Georgia, was born August 31, 1936, in Macon County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Lurletha has now completed this earthly journey. She leaves to remember her well lived 89 years:: her niece and nephew caregivers, Larry and Claudette Deyamport of Ellenwood, GA; Gloria Harper of Tuskegee AL, Virginia Hollis, Willie (Yvette) Baker both of Knoxville TN, George Warren, James (Traci) Warren, Linder Yancey, Jerome (LaShander )Warren all of Auburn, AL, Constance (Carl) Floyd of Opelika, AL, Vanessa (James )Webb of Waverly, AL, Henrietta (James) Duffie of Crawford, AL, John (Susan) Warren of Dayton, OH, Glenda Warren, Beverly (Nathaniel) Dean and Shelia Warren both of Cincinnati, OH, Marcus (Carmen) Warren of Cheektowaga NY, Nicholas (Allison) Warren of Lancaster, NY; one sister-in-law, Mozelle Warren of Apopka, FL; a host of other relatives and friends.
