Funeral service for Margie Cannon, 62, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Bishop Kenneth Carter will officiate.
Ms. Cannon, who passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born March 22, 1964, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, September 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. โ 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Antonio C. Cannon of Opelika, AL; three siblings, Mildred J. Cannon of Columbus, GA, Sylvester (Valerie F.) Cannon and Charlie David Cannon, Jr. both of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Fannie Allen of Opelika, AL; one uncle, Joseph (Sylvia) Beard of Opelika, AL; four nieces, Davinesa L. Reed, Catherine (Donteโ) Wilkerson, Jasmine M. Cannon and Simone A. Cannon; a host of other relatives and friends.

I am so sorry didnt know when I talk to Margie a couple weeks ago it would be my last time. Antonio show going to miss her my heart is just ๐. I will continue pray that Antonio finds peace and comfort and the family but I know it's going to be hard. Rest in peace Margie until we meet again.
