Obituary For Marsiah Emmanuel Collins
Funeral service for Marsiah Collins, 19, of Opelika, AL, will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 650 Jeter Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, County Road 28, Lafayette, AL 36862, Reverend Clifford E. Jones, Officiating and Reverend Arthur Thomas, Eulogist.
Mr. Collins, who passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Dadeville, AL, was born September 21, 2003 in Craven County, North Carolina.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required)
Mr. Collins will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving mother, Shirley (Michael) Jones of Opelika, AL; father, Martin Collins, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers, Damarious Beaty of Las Vegas, NV, Miketavious Crowder of Jacksonville, FL and Qua Crowder of Auburn, AL two sisters, Anaiyah Collins of Lawrenceville, GA and Jordyn Collins of Houston, TX; step-grandparents, Reverend Roger (Mary) Jones of Opelika, AL; five aunts, Tiaschia Beaty, Angela Beaty both of Opelika, AL, Delushundra “DeDe” (Anthony) Worthen of Columbus, GA, Ciera Collins and Madison Collins both of Houston, TX; nine uncles, Demarquis (Tivia) Beaty, Rodney Beaty, Bobby Beaty, Wilson Beaty, Vandrayer Williams all of Opelika, AL, Marques Collins, Antwon Collins both of Houston, TX, Jonathan Collins of San Francisco, CA and Jared (Heather) Collins of St. Louis, MO; seven great-aunts, Hurley (John) Ray of Lafayette, AL, Geraldine (Mose) Todd, Daisy Ligon both of Opelika, AL, Maxine McKinney, Gretta (Joe) Scott, Hilda Norwood, Jerneice (Sidney) Gray all of St. Louis, MO; five great-uncles, Tommy Beaty, Elbert Ligon both of Opelika, AL, Walter (Barbara) Beaty of Lafayette, AL, Hilute McKinney and Preston Turner both of St. Louis, MO; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
