Graveside service for Mary Tucker, 64, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 21935 US Highway 80, Opelika, AL 36804, Reverend Edward Lane, Officiating and Reverend Robert L. King, Eulogist.
Mrs. Tucker, who passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born June 21, 1956 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing for Mrs. Tucker will be Friday, May 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Willie Tucker of Opelika, AL; two children, Derrick (Kizzy) Freeman of Sylacauga, AL and LaTasha Tucker of Opelika, AL; mother, Cassie Pearl Singleton of Opelika, AL; eleven grandchildren, Jinaya Freeman, Jamyra Freeman, Jakell Freeman, Jamell Freeman all of Montgomery, AL, Tyquavion Freeman, Zy’Kayla Tucker, Nevaeh Tucker, Trinity Tucker all of Opelika, AL, Kiante Murthy, Keijah Hamilton and Devonte Jackson all of Sylacauga, AL; three sisters, Minister Darneal Marble of Muskegon, MI, Lurlean Frazier and Darlean Singleton both of Opelika, AL; two brothers, Moses (Emma) Singleton and Deacon Joe H. Singleton both of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Jeanette Welch of Opelika, AL; special niece, Madison Frazier of Riverdale, GA; three brothers-in-law, Gavin Tucker, Murice (Angel) Tucker both of Opelika, AL and Edward Tucker; one sister-in-law, Carolyn (Byron) Neloms of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
