Funeral services for Melvin Frazier, 30, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Creekstand Freewill Non-Denominational Church, 672 Lee Road 40, Opelika, AL, 36804 with interment in the church cemetery, Bishop Henry Ligon, Pastor and Elder Edward Brownlee, Eulogist.
Mr. Frazier, who passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born November 25, 1994, in Lee County, Alabama.
ML's life was a testament to his loving, friendly, and faith-filled nature. He was a proud member of the Creekstand Freewill Non-Denominational Church, where he not only worshipped but also found a second family amongst its congregation. His commitment to his faith was evident in the way he lived his life and in his love for gospel music, which he both listened to avidly and sang with a passion that could stir the soul.
Public viewing will be Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Frazier will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: mother, Sylvia Frazier of Opelika, AL; one sister, Latasha Frazier of Opelika, AL; grandparents, Zachariah “Zack” and Geraldine Reese of Opelika, AL; five uncles, Robert (Earnestine) Frazier of Lafayette, AL, David (Waukeysla) Frazier, Willie (Kimberly) Frazier, Nathan (Equisha) Frazier all of Columbus, GA and Zachery (Shelly) Reese of Opelika, AL; four aunts, Annie (William) Ashmore of Opelika, AL, Deborah Frazier of Camden, DE, Elizabeth (Alonzo) Jefferson of Jacksonville, FL and Felicia Davis-Frazier of Montgomery, AL; four devoted friends, Amanda Sanspree, Dewanda Thomas, Alexis Harper and April Patillo; a host of other relatives and friends.
We're thankful and grateful to God that He allowed ML to be with us for 30 years and 6 days. We miss him tremendously but will cherish his memories forever.
