Obituary For Patricia Ann “Pat” Drake Payne
Funeral service for Patricia Payne, 77, of Opelika, AL, formerly Camp Hill, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend James Crabb, Officiating and Reverend Marvin Mervin, Eulogist.
Mrs. Payne, who passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born December 26, 1945, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, September 29, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two children, Benjamin Ervin (Cytina) Payne and Ebonie Payne both of Opelika, AL; ten grandchildren, Shanita (Keon) Greer, Keyonia Ewell, Ben Robinson, Sharhonda Reese, Breanna Johnson, Bernardious (Sharaven) Watts, Ervin (Allycia) Watts, Diamond Payne, Aadyn Menifee and Malaysia Floyd; eleven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Gwendolyn Drake, Peggy D. Thomas both of Camp Hill, AL, Annette Wright, Sherry Drake both of Opelika, AL and Sandra Veazey of Panama City, FL; two brothers, Harry James (Viki) Veazey and Frederick Veazey both of Camp Hill, AL; ex- husband, Benjamin Payne; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
