Graveside service for Paula Dumas, 50, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Bethel No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1785 Lee Road 29, Opelika, AL 36804, Reverend Nelson Fears will officiate.
Ms. Dumas, who passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born March 19, 1971, in Macon County, Alabama.
Public viewing for Ms. Dumas will be Friday, August 6, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (face covering is required)
She leaves to cherish her memory: her special friend, Derrick King; three children, Tearra Dumas, Leon Cannon, Jr. and Kobe Cannon; four children that she considered her own, Dankea King, MyKeshia Miles, Marcus Ellerbe and LaDarius (Yvante) Ezell; two father figures, Bruce Dowdell, Sr. and McArthur Baker; five grandchildren, Harley Ellerbe, Leon Cannon III, Journee Perry, Brooks Ellerbe and Malayiah Cannon; eleven brothers, (her twin) Paul (Brenda) Dumas, Tony Dumas, Dell (Faith) Brooks, Adrian (LaQuana) Brooks, Lance (Lanoya) Brooks, Christopher Montaque (Tasma) Turk, Jemario Williams, Darryl Grimmett, Marlin Brooks, Lopez Dowdell and Bruce (Brendnette) Dowdell, Jr.; eight sisters, Britteny Long, Twila Brooks, Tacara Brooks, Beverly Philpot, Marquita Tolbert, Bisa Peterson, Shondrea Taylor and Melissa Rowe; three devoted friends as sisters, Stephanie Crayton, Natasha Crayton and Shantella Crayton; six aunts, Drebra (Harry) Drake, Linda (Sylvester) Levett, Mildred Vann, Rosalind Dumas, Nikki Dumas and Earnestine (George) Thompson; one uncle, Carl Dumas; one great-aunt, Ermon E.
